The New Balance Fresh Foam X 1080v13 landed at the perfect time. After a grueling few months of training and a freshly minted 1:19:28 half marathon PR (you bet I'm going to bathe in the afterglow of this sub-80 for all it's worth), my mind, lungs and legs are ready for a breath of comfortable air. The 1080v13 has just what the doctor ordered this Recovery SZN, with a thick bed of Fresh Foam X foam and a soft, padded upper. Also the beautiful Columbia blue upper and off-white midsole doesn't hurt.
