Mizuno Wave Rebellion Pro 3 Lo

The Mizuno Wave Rebellion Pro 3 Lo is a racing shoe designed for speed. Built on the platform of the standard Wave Rebellion Pro 3, it has a lower heel stack that's meant to offer a more stable and accessible ride. The step-in feel is more normal than the original version and the upper is lightweight and fits true to size with the same tongue, laces, and heel—the only change is the geometry. The ride of the original Pro 3 was extremely bouncy, and explosive—one of the most exciting new foams out there. The Lo version is only 5 grams lighter than the Wave Rebellion Pro 3, so it’s still on the heavier side of the top tier racing shoes. It feels firmer and less wild than the original version, but it still has a good bite and pop when you put power down on the front. The ride is lively and quick with a great rocker, a slightly firmer foam, and decent protection and cushion, which you don’t always find in the more aggressive racers. It’s not as fast or light as the Fast-R 3 or Metaspeed Ray, but it is a fun, robust, and protective shoe at $230.
