The Agravic Speed Ultra is Adidas’ trail speed training shoe, priced at $160. Designed for fast-paced trail sessions, it features a midsole construction similar to Adidas’ road models like the Adizero Boston 12 and Adizero SL2. It sits in the middle of the Terrex Agravic lineup—between the faster, more aggressive Agravic Speed Ultra and the Agravic 3, which serves as a daily trail trainer. The shoe has a solid performance upper but comes with a notably narrow heel. While it doesn’t offer the same step-in comfort as the Agravic Speed Ultra, it feels lighter and more nimble. The midsole has a dual foam construction: a top layer of Lightstrike foam that adds some stability, and a bottom layer of Lightstrike Pro (Adidas' race foam). On initial runs, the foam felt quite firm, though the Lightstrike Pro may simply need a few more miles to break in. Overall, the Agravic Speed felt planted and agile—qualities that are ideal for trail running.
