Salomon Aero Glide 4 GRVL

The Salomon Aero Glide 4 GRVL is a max cushioned daily trainer with a beefy outsole for offroad conditions. Priced at $160, it competes with shoes like the ASICS Gel-Nimbus 27 TR ($175) and the Nike Pegasus Trail 5 ($155). The Aero Glide 3 was our favorite daily trainer of the year in 2025, so we were glad to see that v4 was just an upper update and that Salomon kept the same beaded TPU midsole foam and the ContraGrip outsole from v3. The new upper is much more snug with an integrated tongue and the addition of the Quicklace system. The new upper looks fantastic, is perfectly dialed, and keeps your feet warm. It is still our goated daily trainer with a lightweight, cushioned, energetic, smooth and bouncy ride. It delivers the perfect amount of energy return with good impact protection and comfort in the heel. It also feels really good on the roads, light trails, in the rain and snow, and for long runs. If you are looking for a versatile and durable daily trainer for winter running, you will not be disappointed with the Aero Glide 4 GRVL.
