The Adios Pro Evo 1 is Adidas’ $500 marathon racing shoe, built specifically for their elite athletes. Produced in limited quantities, it's designed to deliver the fastest possible ride by stripping away the extraneous features typically found in mass-market models. This shoe isn’t made for durability, comfort, or training—it’s all about pure speed. Standout features include an extremely minimal upper that feels like a cellophane wrapper, a paper-thin layer of rubber on the outsole, and a newly formulated Lightstrike Pro midsole. The real magic lies in the smooth rocker, dense and responsive bounce, and a slightly softer Lightstrike Pro that encourages fast leg turnover. That said, it’s hard to argue that the performance gains justify the $500 price tag—especially considering how fragile the Evo 1 is. It’s not built to last. Unless you’re a true race shoe sicko, we wouldn’t recommend spending your money on this one.
