Qiaodan Leili 2.0 GT

The Qiaodan Leili 2.0 GT is a non-plated super trainer with a max cushion race foam midsole. At about $150, it competes with models like the Nike Vomero Plus ($180) and the ASICS Megablast ($225). The Leili 2.0 GT features a 100% supercritical PEBA race foam midsole. It bridges the gap between higher stack, more Western market type max cushion shoes like the Nike Vomero Plus and some of the more aggressive super trainers and speed oriented options that we are seeing from the Chinese and challenger brands. The foam is bouncy, protective, energetic, and can pick up the pace really well; but, it also has a more comfort-oriented spin to it with a nicely padded upper, heel, and tongue. It does fit a little narrow or snug, so you just have to be careful about how the Chinese brands translate to US or European sizes. The step-in feels like a super trainer or race foam, so you don’t get tons of softness and squish, but it is bouncy and energetic with a very smooth geometry at all paces. It’s super easy to turn over and it is much lighter (208.5 grams in our Men’s EU 45 or US 11) than a traditional max cushion shoe, but you also get great protection and comfort under foot while getting some pep and energy return. It will be perfect for stacking aerobic mileage. If you are looking for a very lightweight and versatile super trainer with great protection, a smooth geometry, and a comfortable ride, the Leili 2.0 GT is a fantastic option.
