The Endorphin Edge is Saucony’s plated trail racing shoe, designed for fast efforts. Originally priced at $200, it can now be easily found for $80 or less using the code provided for Supwell App members through Running Warehouse. It competes with newer, more expensive shoes like the Tecton X3 ($275), UA x Speedland GS:RAR ($300), and the Adidas Terrex Agravic Ultra ($220). One of the first plated trail shoes when it was introduced in 2022, the Endorphin Edge features a full PWRRUN PEBA midsole—Saucony’s race foam—a Carbitex carbon fiber plate, and 4mm lugs. It’s light, nimble, and feels fast on the trails once you put some power into it. Traction is solid despite the absence of Vibram rubber. While some people find the Endorphin Edge unstable, we didn’t experience that—though the upper is roomy and not particularly dialed in. It’s not as fun as the Tecton X3, but it’s a bit nimbler than the Nike Zegama Trail 2. For $80, the Endorphin Edge is a great deal.
