The Saucony Triumph 24 is a cushioned daily trainer designed for versatility. Priced at $170, it competes with shoes like the ASICS Gel-Nimbus 28 and Nike Vomero 18. The Triumph 20 and 21 were some of our favorite max-cushion daily trainers of all time, but the 22 and 23 were too firm, had poor geometry, and the 22 featured a suffocating upper. With the Triumph 24, Saucony introduces a new ATPU foam called incrediLUX and has managed to drop the weight to 275 grams in our men’s size 10.5. The step-in feel is comfortably plush, with a nice breathable upper and good padding on the tongue and around the heel. The fit is roomy, offering plenty of width and volume in the toe box and midfoot.Out on the run, we were pleasantly surprised by the new foam and overall ride. The foam isn’t super soft, but it feels lively with decent compression and bounce while still providing plenty of protection and cushioning. The geometry is smooth and promotes easy leg turnover. We found it enjoyable at slower recovery paces while still being versatile and responsive enough to pick up the pace when needed. This is the best Triumph yet and possibly one of the best Saucony daily trainers ever. If you’re looking for a workhorse daily trainer with a natural feel that can handle just about anything while delivering solid comfort, bounce, and cushioning, the Triumph 24 is a great option.
