Two elite marathon racers, two very different rides. The Fast-R 3 is aggressive, explosive, and built to reward runners who drive hard off the forefoot at faster paces, while the Feidian 6 Elite brings a softer, higher-stack, more protective feel that might appeal more to the masses. Specs:
Stack height: The Puma Fast-R 3 measures in at 39mm of foam in the heel with an 8mm drop while the Li-Ning Feidian 6 Elite has 41mm of foam in the heel with a 6mm heel to toe offset. Both are considered legal for race purposes.
Weight: The Fast-R 3 comes in lighter at 190 grams in our Men's Size 10.5M, while the Feidian 6 Elite is 219 grams in the same size.
Puma Fast-R Nitro Elite 3
Features:
- The Fast-R 3 is what we called a geometry-dominant shoe with its very aggressive rocker geometry and plate positioning while the Feidian 6 Elite is more of a foam-dominant shoe with a bouncy PEBA midsole.
- The ATPU foam of the Fast-R 3 is bouncy and propulsive while the incredible bounce of the Feidian 6 Elite comes from the Super Boom capsule.
- The Fast-R 3 features a carbon fiber plate that extends beyond the toes and front of the shoe. The Feidian 6 Elite has a less harsh, softer, higher stack underfoot feel.
Li-Ning Feidian 6 Elite
