Running Shoe Combinations

I first had the idea of fun shoe combinations (or running shoe math, shoutout Barrett) when getting miles in the ASICS Megablast. The chunky heel, geometry and protection reminded me of the Nimbus—but it somehow had the pop of a race shoe like the Sky Tokyo. Most recently, the quick underfoot feel and aggressive geometry of the R.A.D UFO reminded me of the Adidas Evo SL, while the UFO's soft forefoot was a dead ringer for the Nike Vomero Plus. Fun and different way to think about categorizing some of our favorite shoes.

Adidas Evo SL + Nike Vomero Plus = R.A.D UFO

THE R.A.D. UFO combines the aggressive rocker geometry and bouncy, elevated ride of the Adidas Evo SL with the higher stack comfort of a max cushion shoe like the Nike Vomero Plus. The R.A.D UFO's cushion to speed and stack to bounce ratios are off the charts.
