Below we are explaining the difference between all of Nike's running shoe lines: the racers, the Pegasus line, the Vomero Line, the Structure line, and more.

Nike has a LOT of shoes, but most of them fall into five main lines: Racers, Pegasus, Vomero, Structure, and Miscellaneous. From race day to daily miles and everything in between, here’s the quick breakdown of what each line is actually built for.

Nike has an iconic racing lineup that helped to pioneer the super shoe category. Their racers are easily categorized based on time on feet and race distance.
A “track spike for roads” racer with a featherlight construction and an aggressive geometry, the Streakfly 2 is designed for all-out short distance races.

The Alphafly 3 is a legendary marathon racer with a fluffy, energetic race foam and a forefoot pod that delivers a mechanical, springy feel.
The Vaporfly 4 is a lightweight, direct, and stripped back racer that doesn’t quite live up to the Vaporfly’s legacy as “the original super shoe.”

Spanning a max cushion shoe, an uptempo trainer, and a workmanlike daily option, Pegasus is Nike's "responsive" product line. Each Pegasus offers some form of air zoom tech and a flat, traditional geometry.
An entry-level, do-it-all daily trainer designed for durability and versatility, the Pegasus 42 features a firm, stable and smooth ride.

The Pegasus Plus 2 is a newly-unveiled uptempo shoe that features ZoomX foam a curved forefoot air zoom unit for extra bounce.
The Pegasus Premium is a max cushion shoe with a full-length air zoom unit. It delivers a one-of-a-kind, floaty ride.

In 2025, Nike replaced the Invincible as their flagship cushioned shoe, expanding the Vomero into a full lineup of comfort-oriented models.
The Vomero 18 is a cushioned daily trainer with a high drop feel and a workmanlike training foam that prioritizes impact absorption over bounce.

The Vomero Plus is an iconic max cushion daily trainer with a soft, versatile training version of ZoomX and a geometry that encourages you to pick up the pace.

A 55mm max stack behemoth designed for injury prevention and recovery, the Vomero Premium features dual Air Zoom units that mimic the effect of an anti-gravity treadmill.

The Structure is a line of stability shoes featuring Nike's midfoot support system. Nike introduces stability with strategic sidewalls rather than a traditional medial post.
A firm, stable daily trainer that offers just the right amount of guidance without being overbearing, the Structure 26 is excellent for injury prevention.

The Structure Plus blends modern max cushion comfort with stability elements, delivering real ZoomX race foam and a midfoot support system to stabilize the platform.

These are the miscellaneous models that don't fit into Nike's other performance running shoe silos.
A $100 daily trainer that punches well above its class, the Winflo 12 features a premium step-in feel, excellent daily comfort for stacking mileage and a clean aesthetic.

A dual-foam, carbon plated shoe designed to be a training companion to the Alphafly, the Zoom Fly 6 ultimately delivers a lackluster and outdated ride.
